Hello,
I am asking for any contacts or information anyone may have regarding population and life histories of vaquitas, published or not. We are simulating a population viability analysis and require as many details as possible.
Thank you so much!

Great story and photos, I am a San Felipe resident and avid sport fisherman. Three years ago I had a vaquita experience anchored on a reef in front of the old Punta Estrella hotel. I have told the story about my sighting and nobody ever believed me. I will now reference them to your sight for proof.....Thanks for caring and please continue your good work. There is much to be done or these creatures will truly disappear.

What a fantastic success for the expedition. I have referred hundreds of people to your blog for updates on the vaquita and I hope you will continue to track their status in the future.

Wow! What a great opportunity and what great photos of such a beautiful animal. The photo with the Vaquita in the foreground and the shrimp boats in the background is especially haunting.

i like how the eye patch reveals the eye location so well in this little porpoise... and yeah, some of those dorsal fins are very distinctive for photo-id

Hi !
Great to see these animals living 'in peace' ...the ones we have here in Bahia/Brazil are having a hard time to do so...we have the absurd of bomb fishing scaring them away....and even after 4 years fighting this crime, we still have lots of 'bombers' around....and very few people willing to stop it.
It's a shame....we dream of days when dolphins will be watched peacefuly and this whole region can have a decent future...
see our website for pictures of this absurd.
the best to you guys!

Great story and great photos. What a privilege to be able to see the pictures of these beautiful animals. I volunteered with Tom in Hong Kong several years back studying the pick dolphin and I can remember the excitement had by all when we came across the animal. I wish I were there with you on this trip as well. Keep up the good work. Bob Smith
